Case Study — Longitudinal Tracking

Six survey waves built a longitudinal record of brand health for an enterprise infrastructure software provider

6Survey waves conducted — at least annually since 2020
5Core metrics tracked in every wave, from awareness to budgeting
3Special-topic deep dives layered onto the annual tracker
The Company

The client is a global enterprise infrastructure software company. Its products help large organizations modernize and secure mission-critical IT — spanning mainframe core systems, hybrid cloud integration, data management, and security and compliance — serving thousands of customers across financial services, insurance, healthcare, and government.

The Value

Because the same core questions are fielded to fresh, market-recruited respondents each year, the company holds a true longitudinal record — awareness, NPS, and purchasing-criteria trends that show whether strategy is working, rather than a one-time snapshot.

Each wave also layers a special topic onto the tracker, answering that year’s most pressing strategic question without commissioning a separate study. Over the holding period, the work has bridged the gap between findings and post-close value realization.
